It seems like I have loved horses all of my life. I read about them, I dreamed about them, I had posters of them all over my room... hoping one day I would have one of my own. When I was 14 that dream came true with a beautiful leopard Appaloosa mare named Lovey. After a short time without horses I was able to get another as an adult and now share my life with my husband, several horses and donkeys, and a menagerie of dogs.

My journey into photography began with taking photos of my model horses and the real horse in my life. I also took photos of where we went on vacation and the animals we saw. That grew into a passion for photographing horses to capture their beauty and spirit. I soon offered my services to shoot equine related events, horses at liberty, and portraits of horses with their humans. After taking a short break from shooting to finish my career as a police/fire/9-1-1 dispatcher the art of photography called me back to what I love most. While I specialize in photographing equines I also love to photograph pets, wildlife, and nature.

I have been around horses for 40 years either trail riding or competing in local all-around shows, mounted archery, and now working equitation. I am comfortable around horses and familiar with many different equine and canine disciplines which can help me get the images you're looking for. Rest assured that I will do my best to capture moments you will love and cherish.
